It has been a very positive start to the year in the senior school with lots to celebrate and share with our community.

Our School Captains and Leaders

We are proud to announce our school captains and leaders. The students showed excellent leadership potential in their interviews and have already started the year with their student voice loud and clear. Student voice supports us to further improve the opportunities and needs in student learning as well as contributing to other decision making in the school.

Additionally, the leaders will also be leading areas that they are very passionate about.

Our Class of 2020 Successes

Our ESC community can be justifiably proud of how our Year 12 students continued to strive for excellence despite the challenges they faced last year. This is reflected and confirmed in the excellent outcomes of our year 12 students-both VCE and VCAL.

Our Epping Secondary College Class of 2020 were the strongest performing Government School in the City of Whittlesea and we are delighted to share their achievements with you.

The resilience and perseverance of our class of 2020 is also reflected by the professional and dedicated work of all our staff who rapidly transitioned into a different teaching and learning mode so that our students would still be able to maximise their learning potential. Parents and families have also played a crucial role in supporting and encouraging students through the challenges brought about by the 2020 pandemic.

Special congratulations and recognition must go to our 2 students who scored 90 plus in their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), Slava Cooke the DUX of ESC who scored 95.55 and Michelle Jugovic who scored 91.9.

We also celebrate the 87 tertiary offers to 84 of our students (VCE and VCAL), with 2 of our students receiving two or more offers. Some of the courses our students were accepted in include;

nursing, biomedicine, science, bioscience, animal and veterinary bioscience, health science, osteopathy, education/teaching, accounting, nutrition, exercise science, criminology, psychology, engineering, business, human resources, marketing, chiro-practic science, communication design, information technology, legal practice, speech pathology, computer systems, fashion design, arts, logistics, beauty therapy and music.

Showcasing Our New VCE Precinct

We have finally moved into our new VCE building adding another layer to our positives in the senior school. The building has extensive areas to study, as well as ultra-modern rooms and technology. The students have taken ownership of the study area to collaborate during their private study sessions and breaks.We will be consulting with students as to how we can further utilise every corner of this amazing building.We will be showcasing our new learning space to our year 12 parents on the 17th February as part of our information evening.
