Library News

Well, it's been quite the year to start a new job...

I began back in February (week 3?) at the deep end and have gradually moved to less choppy waters with only the occasional 'floater' to navigate.

A few facts and figures for the year:

250 new items were purchased over the year including 92 Picture Story books, 82 Fiction titles and 61 non-fiction titles.

2493 loans were made. Not bad considering how long the school was closed for. Preps topped the list with 760 followed by Year 3 at 464 and Year 1 at 447.

Top 10 loans: 9 Comics, which are incredibly popular and at number 10 a Minecraft book, obviously... More Comics will be purchased next year together with many new Spanish books.

It's also been great fun dealing with all the questions:

"Where are the scary books?

"Where are the fairy books?

"Do you still have that book from last week?"

"Do you want to borrow that?"

"Yes."

"What's your name?"

"Ninja."

Many thanks for all your support and donations.

See you next year.
