Year 10 Food for Thought

Decorated Cake Design Brief, production occurred during weeks 4-6

Student thoughts on the experience:

• I am proud of what I achieved and really surprised myself with what I can do with fondant.
• There were some imperfections to my cake I’m still happy and pleased with the finished cake.
• I went through a lot of issues, but the end result was just like my original design.
• I enjoyed making my choice of cake, I did a good job of replicating my design.
• I liked the challenge of using fondant to make the decorations for my cake.
• It was difficult to make the magpie decoration for my cake, I tried my best to make it appealing and I think it worked.
• I’m really happy with the way my design came out although it took me a couple of goes.
• I think some one would be over the moon if they were given this cake.
