It was wonderful to see many new faces at our PFC AGM and meeting, including being joined via Zoom with our newest Brookside Baby addition!
We had a robust and busy meeting with many plans beginning to be laid for our future activities, the first of which will be our annual Mothers Day Stall. It was really nice to have a full and rich sense of community spirit in our meeting, a spirit we will continue to foster and grow over the year.
Congratulations to our new office bearers for 2021! We are excited to introduce to you (from left to right) Navpreet, Manika, Sarah, and Elizabeth!
President / Convener: Sarah
Sarah has been on the PFC in different capacities for 5 years, and most people in the community will be familiar with Sarah through this or the HOL Café she runs at Brookside. A parent to 3 (2 at Brookside), Sarah is passionate about community engagement and the PFC is very excited to elect her as our President!
Vice President: Manika
Manika would like to bring about increased multicultural diversity into the events this year and would love to see more hands-on volunteers at our events building community spirt… we are looking forward to meeting you, come and join us! Manika has been on the committee for about 4 years now and is happy to be the office bearer of Vice President.
Treasurer: Navpreet
We welcome Navpreet not only to the PFC and the Office of Treasurer, but also as a new Brookside community member with her child commencing prep this year. She loves working with international students and kids, helping them thrive and bloom. From a Punjabi background, Navpreet is passionate about multi culturalism and finances!
Secretary: Elizabeth
Elizabeth is excited to be in this role in 2021 and has been on the committee since 2019. With a daughter in grade 2 and a son to commence next year, she loves bringing people together and fostering a sense of community and connectivity. Her love of communication, organization and documentation will bring passion to the role of secretary like never before!
