School Advisory Council

The St Joseph’s School Advisory Council meets once a term, at 5 pm, in the school library.

Term 1  Wednesday 3rd March 

Term 2  Wednesday 2nd June

Term 3  Wednesday 1st September

Term 4  Wednesday 3rd November

The role of the School Advisory Council is to support the mission of Catholic Education in the school by working with the Principal and Parish Priest to provide guidance and support to the wider community. This council helps prepare the school budget, develop strategic plans for buildings and maintenance, encourages parental involvement and actively promotes the school in the local community.

Annual General Meeting

A quick reminder and notice to all parents, teachers and friends of St Joey’s that the Annual General Meeting for this committee will take place at 6:00pm this Wednesday 3rd March 2021, in the school Library.   Please take the time to come along and see just how we can help our school improve and our children benefit from our efforts.

Fundraising

After the AGM, fundraising ideas will be discussed and agreed upon during our usual PT&F Meeting, so if you have any suggestions for creative fundraising opportunities, please join us to share your ideas.  A calendar of events will be sent out in the newsletter as soon as possible after this meeting. 

Fundraising Reminder

Please remember to drop your Easter Egg or Easter themed (not all children eat chocolate) donations in to school and return your raffle tickets asap.  There are more raffle ticket books available from the front office.  

Canteen ordering

All orders be placed on the appropriate WEDNESDAY morning of each fortnight.  This will allow her more time to prepare her delicious meal options.  Please send your order through as per the instructions below. 

Dates: (every fortnight)

                  Friday 12th March - orders due Wednesday 10th March

                  Friday 26th March - orders due Wednesday 24th March

Cost:  $6.00

Menu - Please choose 1 item from each of the 3 options.  

To order - write your child's name, class and order on the front of a paper bag, put the $6 into the bag and send it in to school on the Wednesday morning before canteen day.
