Investigate, Create, Express Program!

Friday. Usually a day for relaxing and preparation for the weekend… not at MPRPS though. At the end of the day, everyone rushed to start I.C.E or their Junior Rotations - along with

teachers and a couple of Grade 6’s the groups were ready to begin! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we weren’t able to have any parents helping out this Semester. However, there were still plenty of groups to choose from. Minecraft, Outdoor Sports, and Coding were just a few of the choices to choose for the I.C.E program. We are all enjoying it. I.C.E runs over two terms for ten weeks including the highly anticipated Showcase! That means students will choose two groups per year. The Showcase displays everyone’s creations and hard work from the first round of activities. We are hopeful parents will be able to join us and see the amazing work everyone has put in- so watch this space! The juniors will also be able to come and we will watch some live performances by groups like Vocal Ensemble, Dance and the Drama group. Miss Campbell and Miss Richardson are organising I.C.E so they are the ones to ask if you have questions.

Junior Rotations

Junior Rotations also runs every Friday afternoon at the same time as I.C.E - but for Juniors only! They rotate through a different activity every week and split into small groups with Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students.

The activities this semester are:

Fine Motor, Watercolour Art, Indigenous craft, Sport, Stem challenge, String art, Card making, Oobleck, Games group
