1/2 Victorian Police Incursion

We were filled with excitement in every inch of us as the police car pulled into the school grounds on the 4th of March. They were coming to visit the Inquiry Centre because of our Guided Inquiry learning topic, ‘Community- Place & Spaces’ which is all to do with community services and people who can help us. 

The police officers explained and showed the Juniors all about their active weapons and other necessary things on their belt including walkie-talkies. Next, they demonstrated to the 1/2s the sound of the siren and explained how they used horses and police dogs to help them, along with their bulletproof jackets that were very heavy.
