Term 1 in Foundation

There are a lot of new, young faces at Mount Pleasant Road this year. It’s the beginning of school for the Foundation students. It’s been roughly 40 days now they have been at school. Miss Dawson, Miss Tossell and Miss Henwood have been doing a great job teaching them about writing weekend recounts and letter sounds. They have also been learning about shapes and pattern subitising. In Reading groups, they have been learning and finding Codes and pointing to words as they read to help them read out loud. It’s been exciting to see Foundation students settle into their new school and make a lot of new friends out in the playground.
