Student Agency Day in the Leadership Centre

Written by Xavier & Noah

Everyone remembers remote learning right? In the Leadership Centre we are now doing Student Agency Day! (Aka S.A.D(but it isn’t!) It was inspired by remote learning when the teachers realised that we could be trusted to be responsible and take agency over our learning tasks. We were able to complete tasks quickly and it meant our teachers' could complete more independent conferences. The usual activities we complete are a Maths task, meeting with our Reading group, Spelling and Wellbeing activities. We also schedule in some fitness or independent reading time too. Our tasks aren’t always on our devices, there is at least one activity that is completed without our iPad, for example handwriting. We all loved it and have our fingers crossed for it to happen again next term.

  • Mia 5/6SB - I liked fitness because I love doing exercises. I also liked reading because I like reading books.
  • Dheer 5/6B - I liked maths because it was fun and cool.
