Learning and Teaching

For the first four weeks of school our teachers  designed units of work around our motto - 'Through Christ: Dare to Love, Dare to Learn, Dare to Lead.' Each class explored relationships, celebrated differences, investigated ways to respect yourself, others and the environment, explored ways to learn, recognised the gifts and talents in each other and discussed ways to give back to the community. They also delved deeply into our school values and explored the scripture associated with each.

On Monday our unit of work culminated in a 'Celebration of Learning' day. All of our students worked to create a banner to represent each of our values - Respect, Collaboration, Community and Innovation. It is our vision that these will be displayed in the Hall. We shared lunch with our buddies on the oval and gathered together at the end of the day to share in a Liturgy.  This was a very respectful and moving culmination of the amazing work done by all.

Our hallways have also come alive as our teams have captured the learning and created a display for us all to see.
