PRAYER

Gratitude

Thank you, Father, for having created us

and given us to each other in the human family.

Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows,

for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness.

Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives.

Thank you for friends, for health and for grace.

May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us.

This week

Please note that Thursday is a screen free day.  On Saturday we will be having our Orientation for new students in an online format.  Next Monday, the boys will return.  I know Year 12 were very excited to return this week as was my daughter in Kindergarten.  It will be good for the boys to see their friends. We will be aiming to get the boys back into a routine.  They will be tired after being back at school so earlier bedtimes will be required.  Remember to check their uniform and get them used to wearing school shoes again.  If they wear their shoes every day for a period of time, they will get used to them. Don’t forget the haircuts.

For the first time in my time at the College I managed to go a whole term (Term 3) without running a detention.  Just ignore the fact we were online!  It would be great if there could be two terms without a detention.  It would be a record!  The aim is no detentions this semester!

On our return

Please note that the rules in general society and the rules at school are different. I assume the government has done this to improve the safety of the unvaccinated - the children.  Please don’t assume because the rules are relaxed in society that the rules at school are relaxed.  We aren’t allowed to have Junior School Assemblies so they will remain online during Period 6 on Fridays. COVID-19 updates come out every day so this may change as the term progresses. The boys and staff are required to wear masks inside. We also won’t be using our air conditioners.

We continue to have a day cleaner at the school and a different timetable which allows us to have breaks at a different time to the rest of the school.

Boys require a crunch and sip every day except Thursdays.

On Thursdays we will leave for Oxford Falls at the beginning of Recess so please ensure your son doesn’t have a 10.30 am music lesson. He will need to bring his recess, lunch and a water bottle.  Please remember that a mask will need to be worn on the bus.

Timetable on our return to school from 25 October

We will be running a different timetable to allow the Junior School to be out in the playground when the remainder of the school are in class and vice versa.  It means that the boys will have three periods in a row in the morning with a crunch and sip time sometime in Periods 2 and 3.  Please ensure you pack a snack that is easy for the boys to eat in class.

( No roast dinners allowed!  It has to be quick and easy and preferable not messy.)

ADMINISTRATION: 8:42 am - 8:57 am

Allow a crunch and sip for 5 minutes in Period 2 or 3.

Period 1      8:57 am – 9:50 am

Period 2      9:50 am - 10:43 am

Period 3     10:43 am - 11:36 am

Recess        11:36 am - 11:56 am

Period 4     11:56 am – 12:49 pm

Period 5     12:49 pm - 1:42 pm

Lunch          1:42 pm - 2:22 pm

Period 6      2:22 pm - 3:00 pm
