Congratulations

Will Zakis and Sophia Chen

Will Zakis and Sophia Chen (both Year 10) are two of eleven local athletes successful in obtaining scholarships to the Western Sydney Academy of Sport Lone Star program; Will for Athletics (middle distance and Cross Country) and Sophia for Canoe Slalom/Marathon Paddling. The Lone Star program accepts athletes across a range of sports, this year including fencing, athletics, rugby league and canoe slalom. The program aims to prepare talented young athletes for progression to higher levels of performance, specifically State and National representation. The scholarship lasts for twelve months and includes educational workshop, personal development opportunities and technical support.  This is an outstanding achievement for Will and Sophia and we wish them all the best with their further rise in their respective sports.

Olivia Harris

During lock down Olivia has continued her Rowing commitments with Nepean Rowing Club High Performance Squad training. This includes weekly coaching sessions via Zoom. With an ease of restrictions over the next term, it now appears likely that Olivia may be able to compete in the NSW Independent School Championships Regatta on 13th of November, and the NSW Schools Girls' Head of the River Regatta on 12th March, 2022. Olivia has made a great deal of progress in Rowing and we wish her well at these upcoming events.

Summer Sport

Summer registrations have been collated and a number of students have not completed these. If you wish to play in a team in Term 1, 2022 you must have completed the registration as it is highly likely that we will need to do a paper selection for these teams.

The survey has been reopened for the third time and students are requested to complete this if they have not already done so.
