Remote Learning Year 5

Last week the Year 5's studied another of Jackie French's texts, 'The Shaggy Gully Times', the punniest newspaper you'll ever read! We analysed the text to find what the author's craft and intentions were and what affects these had on the reader. Jackie's text inspired our students to put their journalist hats on and produce some articles themselves!

These pieces were motivated from a topic that the students were passionate about such as; climate change, technology and astronomy. 

Whilst drafting their articles, the students ensured to include the 5Ws in their piece to explain, who, what, when, where and why.
