Year 9 Illustration and Environmental Design

At the very end of Term 3, Year 9 Illustration and Environmental Design students completed their first design for the subject. Over the course of the term students underwent the design process in order to illustrate either a nature trail or an information panel for our local Merri Creek. While we were lucky to go on a primary research trip down to the creek before lockdown, most of the work for this task was completed at home. Students worked hard to refine their designs, considering typography and various layouts, before arriving at their final resolutions that utilised whatever materials they had available. Have a look at these selected final designs – I'm proud of their efforts!

Year 8 Visual Art: Hybrid Human Masks

In term 3, students in Visual Art studied how artists throughout the ages have created imaginary creatures and bestowed them with human characteristics in order to express ideas about society and the world in which they lived. Students were inspired by this and created their own Hybrid Human masks during lock Down. They all did an excellent job considering their circumstances.
