Senior School Sport  & Extra-Curricula Activities

From the Senior Sports Master

Welcome back to Term 4 where we will do everything we can as a community to reboot sport as we follow the NSW Government’s “roadmap” out of lockdown. The reboot will be a challenging task but is something the College is committed to.

In our Cricket section today you will see that the Manly Warringah Junior Cricket competition has been given the green light to start on 6 November.  Please make sure your sons are registered by 17 October if you haven’t already done so.  This will allow us to finalise team entries before the cut-off date.  ALL cricketers must register, this includes those intending to play in the ISA Competition which will commence in Term 1 2022.  We will provide details around COVID Protocols closer to the commencement date.

For our Basketball, Tennis and Squash players we are investigating opportunities for an internal competition in the short term with a view to preparing for Term 1 2022 when we expect the ISA Basketball to commence alongside the ISA Cricket, NSTA Tennis and NSW Pennants Squash competitions.

Please understand that we are currently operating in a vacuum of information from the NSW Government with regards to sport and how it fits in with the current Stage 3 restrictions placed on schools at this challenging time.  The health and welfare of the College and wider community will always be our main priority as we move to a more normal footing.
