Our Student Leadership Team elect for 2022 had a successful Spring Holiday break, making Zoom contact with their Vancouver College Canadian Edmund Rice school counterparts to share insights into student leadership in Edmund Rice Schools in other parts of the globe.

After starting a new School Year recovering from lockdown, Vancouver College were preparing for their biggest sporting fixture of the year and “Homecoming” Festival against fellow Edmund Rice school St Thomas Moore Collegiate.

They too are looking forward to a return to their Social Justice and Immersion programs where they regularly contact and visit Fe y Allegria ER school in Peru and Edmund Rice outreach services in a socio-economically disadvantaged area of the Bronx.   

Our Student Leaders, led by Will Staber, Ben Cullen and Ronan Crispe used several Speechcraft sessions in the holidays to prepare for their upcoming Senior Students Investiture, Founder's Day activities and Christmas appeals for our partner schools in Walgett, Bowraville, and Callan Disability Services in Papua New Guinea. 

Our Year 9 RE students will take up the mantle of our Edmund Rice Beyond Borders responsibilities to maintain contact with other Edmund Rice Schools around the world. While our Year 11 Student Leaders will be making contact with our Junior Homeroom classes in Wellbeing Wednesday Homerooms over the coming weeks.
