Next Meeting

Wednesday 16 June 2021, 7.30pm

The SAC meet twice per term and are an advisory group to the Principal of the school.  We provide a voice for members of the school community, we actively support, in collaboration with the local parish, the Vision and Catholic Identity of the School, we provide input into and support for strategic planning and directions and actively support and promote child safety practices.

This year we have discussed as a committee what we can do to enhance the school for the children and staff.  Mr. Dalgleish will be meeting with the Planning and Infrastructure Manager from Catholic Education Office, Ballarat, to discuss how we can improve our current premises and expand to allow for the possible increase of staff and students.

The students will be attending Catholic Education Week Mass in Horsham on 26th May, and will be asking families to contribute non-perishable items for community members less fortunate when we attend the Giving Mass in June.  We will continue to think of ways to help those in our community who may be struggling over the winter period.  If you have any ideas, please feel free to reach out to one of the committee members.

drumMUSTER is another program the SAC has been a part of for quite some time.  Unfortunately at the moment the company is unable to get truck drivers to come and collect the drums.  We will keep you updated when we get a date for pickups to let the local farmers know.

Our fundraising team has already held two fundraisers this year – the Bingo Music Night and we also catered for an 80th Birthday in the April holidays.  We have asked the school if they would be willing to purchase new coffee mugs with the School logo on them for future use of catering and cuppas in the hall.  While we all love our eclectic collection of mugs, I’m sure all our parents had them in the 70’s and the most recent cups were purchased nearly 30 years ago, so I believe it is time for them to be updated!

We want to thank Matt’s Mowing for replacing the garden at the front of the school – it is looking very welcoming, and we look forward to the construction of the new fences at the school.

Feel free to contact an SAC member if there are any matters you wish to be discussed.
