Learning and Teaching

LS1 Juniors

LS1 has been responding to the question ‘How can we protect the living things and places in our world?’.

Students have been working on a new hybrid animal and had to consider the appropriate habitat and environment for their new animal. In addition to this, the students decided on diet, movement and defence mechanisms to protect their animals.

To bring their design to life the students have used clay and tools to etched patterns.

Our Grade 5/6 students played against St Kevin’s Primary School this week at home. We will have further news and photographs next week. This will be the last match for Summer Inter-school Sports. Grade 5/6 students will now participate in Summer Lightning Premiership on Wednesday June 9th where they will play their summer sport against a number of schools in our district. This will then determine the team that goes onto divisional level.

DIVISIONAL CROSS COUNTRY

Our cross country team has been training hard every Tuesday and Thursday since District Cross Country. A big thank you to them for their commitment. And thanks also to Lulli, Patrick and Matilda who can be seen early in the mornings training our team.

The Juniors continue to enjoy their lunchtime soccer clinics run by Olympiacos. I would like to say a huge thank you to Chris from Olympiacos. He has been fantastic with the students ensuring they have a great time. If you are interested in your child participating in soccer out of school hours, there are forms with further information available at the office for you to collect.
