At Mackellar Primary School students attend P.E. with a willingness to participate and learn new skills. They are confident, motivated and work in teams with drive and focus. 

In term two, the students looked at the following areas of the Victorian Curriculum

Prep – In term two the students used their knowledge of the fundamental motor skills and put them into practice through athletic events including running, long jump, hurdles and shot put.

Grade 1/2 – In term two, the focus was on using the fundamental motor skills and applying them to game situations.

Grade 3/4 and 5/6 – In term two, students looked at invasion games and started to think about how to keep possession of the ball and how to defend to gain possession.

This term we also saw the grades 3-6 attend Athletics day at Keilor Park Athletics track. We were very lucky to have such a beautiful day which allowed our athletes to compete to the best of their ability. There were lots of smiling faces on the day and great results!
