Table Tennis
Congratulations to our ASC Table Tennis team who travelled to Sydney this week to compete in the CHS State Finals.
We scored two very good hard-fought wins against teams from Bathurst and Albury, lost narrowly to Hastings College (Port Macquarie) and were beaten the stiff opposition from Baulkham Hills (the eventual State Champions).
The final game of the competition was against Hurstone Agricultural College. In that match, ASC was up 3:1 after the singles, but our opponents came back in the doubles to shade us 4:3 in a very exciting climax.
Well done to our team members Jordan King, Braith Kliendienst, Utsav Bajracharya (all Year 12) and Lawrence Conroy (Year 11) who represented ASC with distinction and impeccable sportsmanship.
A big thank you also to Mr Suddaby for coordinating table tennis at ASC and travelling with our team to Sydney.

The ASC Girl Volleyball team also played a great tournament, only to be beaten in the semi-finals.
The Frosty Balls tournament is a keenly anticipated annual event, attracting teams from a wide area including Coffs Harbour and Queensland.
Opens Girls Football
Our ASC Open Girls Football team had a successful trip to Warialda in Week 6 to compete in the next round of the Combined High Schools Knock-out competition. They played extremely well and came away with a 2-1 win in extra time with Maddie Moran scoring both goals.
A massive thank you to Mr Lord for driving the bus, Ryan Harris for his coaching expertise and Cooper Heagney for running the line.
Girls League
ASC's Girl's Rugby League team (pictured at top of page) headed over to Inverell in Week 6 to participate in the Katrina Fannings Competition.
All team members had a fun day and enjoyed the challenge of facing some strong opposition. We won some games and lost others --- but learnt alot and showed true heart and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all!
Boys League
Keandre Johnson-Vale (Year 10) travelled all the way to Wollongong to represent ASC at the NSW Combined High Schools Touch and Rugby League State Trials. We are very proud of your great talent, Keandre!
Girls Touch Football
In Week 2, the Opens Girls Touch Football team travelled to Quirindi for the with hopes of further advancing in the regional competition. Although ASC showed great teamwork and bursts of brilliance, Quirindi thwarted our hopes of further advancing in the regional competition with a 4:3 win.
Congratulations girls and thanks to Skye Gordon-Briggs for all her support and encouragement.
Boys Rugby
The ASC Junior Rugby team recently acquired a new kit thanks to the generosity of the P&C. They look absolutely wonderful!
