New multi-purpose hall

A new standalone multi-purpose hall has been approved as part of the ASC redevelopment programme. The new facility will replace the hall and performing arts space removed through the demolition of the original school, and will also house a new movement and fitness area.

Tender for construction is currently underway, with construction expected to begin in Term 3.

Selective School Applications

ASC offers selective school opportunities for students in Years 7-10. 

There are 8 spaces available for the 2022 Year 9 selective class. Next year's Year 8 and Year 10 selective classes are currently full, but students wishing to apply will be placed on a waiting list. Entry into the 2022 Year 7 selective class group is organised through the Primary Schools. 

Applications for 2022 Years 8-10 selective classes close on Friday, 23 July 2021. Instructions and application forms are attached, or can be found on the ASC Website.

Celebrate Canteen Week

The Canteen is open every morning before school from 8:30 am, and then during recess and lunch. It is managed by the P&C, and provides an important service to the school community while raising funds to support various school activities.

This week, Mr Breen (Rel. Principal), presented a plant and certificates to our Canteen staff and volunteers during Celebrate Canteen Week. 

Now that winter has set in, hot milos and hot chocolates are being sold throughout the day. Come and grab a hot drink with a chicken and cheese toastie for a good breakfast to start the day!

Students are also encouraged to check out the daily specials on the Canteen's whiteboard --- including tomato pasta, carbonara pasta, potato wedges, sweet chilli wraps, chicken parmie, butter chicken, riblets and fried rice, burritos, nuggets and chips, nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and gravy rolls, and pizza. 

On Tuesday each week the Canteen promotes Meal Deal, which includes the daily special and a drink for $6.00 (small) or $7.00 (large).

School Bytes

This week we sent out invoices for the 2021 school fees using School Bytes. This is a new programme we have acquired to make it quicker and easier for parents to receive correspondence, statements and reminders, and to access a secure payment gateway. 

We will be using School Bytes for more of our services over the remainder of the year.
