COLLEGE CHAPLAIN

Chapel at the Junior School

Recently, I visited the Junior School to share with them the good news about the Ascension of Jesus. It’s a funny word and a peculiar idea, but with the help of the travelators at the Marketplace the children learned that Jesus’ ascension means that the Holy Spirit has now descended into the hearts of believers. Now we can know the presence of Jesus anywhere at anytime, even though Jesus is right now on his heavenly throne! You can see what we learned below.

The Junior students also spent some class time learning a Colin Buchanan song about the work of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit called God United

We had lots of fun dancing together and learning about the hope of being part of God’s team through the Holy Spirit.

You can view an excerpt from our dancing efforts below, or you can have a go at home with the whole family using this video.

It’s a great joy sharing the Gospel with such eager little hearts and minds at TRAC. My prayer is that this ministry will continue to expand in 2022 and beyond. I am also praying that the upcoming holidays are a time to reflect on God’s generous provision to us in Semester One, be it in the classroom, playground, on stage, on the sporting field and beyond. The Lord knows our comings and goings and is with us in our work and in our rest, so I pray we will look to Him, our Maker, over the winter break.
