Library Corner 

A big hello from the library to all our Sunny Heights families.

Our Prep classes have been having some fun in library this week celebrating National Simultaneous Story time. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. 

This year the book Give me some space! Written and Illustrated by Philip Bunting was read by the astronaut Dr Shannon Walker from the International Space Station. To celebrate this special event the library was transformed into a space adventure. Our little astronauts, sat on moon rocks and took a tour of the solar system while enjoying this year’s book reading. You might also be learning more about space together at home, in the books the students borrowed this week from the library.

A copy of the Picture Story book Give me some space! will be available in the library next week for students to borrow. Happy Reading!
