WHAT IS SPEED CAREERING?

Our school holds an annual event known as “ Speed Careering”.

The activity is designed to build student awareness of the various roles/ work options available in our community, including the fact that there are just as many individual career pathways as there are roles.

It involves small group informal discussions. It is, but a dialogue with students and their parents and caregivers from Years 8 to 10.

VTAC season is upon us for our Year 12 students, we thank Sofie and Kristy  from Access Monash for their presentation to our students on 10th August – photo.  Parents and Guardians, please note Course Applications close on 29th September.  Special Entry Access Scheme(SEAS) and Scholarships close on 7th October but getting in early around 14th September is key to success.

We thank Dr. Eveline and Jill from Aide Education and Migration for their presentation to our students on 9th August to our International students and our teachers.

We thank our VCAL Teachers and students for attending the SELLEN Trial a Trade Expo at KCC State Dogs Centre on Tuesday 19th July.  50 of our students were able to connect with Apprentice organisations, local employers, Universities and TAFEs and learn more about various pathways.
