Program: This week the children continued on with the ‘water’ ’focus. The children made their own word searches, placemat pictures, mobiles and masks. These art & craft experiences foster creativity, thinking and fine motor skills.
As the weather was so nice and sunny the children were able to spend a lot of time outside. Soccer, Cricket and Tennis were popular as well as cones for building and using the play equipment.
The service has purchased some new colourful and comfortable cushions for the children to use at OSHC. They have been very popular for relaxation, use with the iPad’s or even a quick nap!
OSHC Payments: The service has received payments of EFT into the OSHC/VAC CARE account with no reference name. We ask those parents who use this method of payment to check their invoice. If you noticed that your payment hasn’t come thought on your invoice, please contact the Director on 0411 236 014 or 8443 5308. Please ensure you are writing your name or your child’s name as the reference.
OSHC designated Play Areas: Parents/ Caregivers please keep in mind that the children enrolled in OSHC use the playground, seating area and oval near the goal posts after school. The OSHC staff have a duty of care to students attending our service. The duty of care requires the service and its educators to take the necessary and reasonable steps to ensure safety.
To ensure the duty of care requirements are met parents/children who are not enrolled in OSHC are required to leave the areas mentioned above by 3:30pm, once the final school bell rings.

Active After School: If your child is going to attend an after school activity please notify the service in advanced. If our educators have not been notified by parent/caregiver children will not be allowed to leave the service.
Absentees: Parents who have children attending OSHC but are absent from school or picked up early from school, need to notify the service by phone on 8443 5308 ASAP as we have children on the waiting list.
Pupil Free Day: As you are aware we have a pupil free day on Friday 4th March 2016. Please indicate whether you require care for your child/ren for that day. We will require a minimum of 15 bookings to operate the service.
We will need to know by Friday 26th of February and you will be notified on Monday 29thth February if the service will be operating. (Attached below Pupil Free day letter)
Yearly booking forms 2016:
Please ensure you have filled out a new enrolment/ yearly booking forms for your child/ren prior to commencing OSHC; existing families must also fill out a new enrolment form to update all records. Forms can be collected from the OSHC room, front office or online on the LNPS website.
