FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION

On Monday 15th of August the Year 4-6 students celebrated the Feast of the Assumption. The Feast of the Assumption is  to celebrate when Mary rose up to heaven to be reunited with Jesus. We also celebrated Fr Hoangs last Mass with us. He will move to Camberwell Parish where he has to look after 5 schools! We hope he enjoys himself and learns a lot and can visit us as often as possible.

5/6 CAMP

The 5/6 students and teachers are going to Coonawarra Camp. We will leave at 7:45 am on Monday 22nd and will come back Wednesday 24th approximately 5pm. The teachers will send out Skoolbag notes to let you know when we are nearly back at school. We will have cabins of up to 4-8 people in each cabin. Every parent would have been sent a list of things to bring to camp and we are all looking forward to it. If you would like to take a look at the website here is the link https://www.coonawarraresort.com.au/

PS. Mrs Sullivan and Tracey went and visited the camp last week and they said it looked great, but it was cold so don't forget to pack warm clothes!

JOKES OF THE WEEK BY LUKE D

What do you call a caveman's pop off?

A blast from the past.

Why is it annoying to eat next to basketball players?

Because they dribble all the time.

NEWS FROM MRS SULLIVAN

I have to commend our Public Relation Team and how they have really made the fortnightly newsletter their own. They are coming up with the ideas, making time to interview teachers and students and then working together to write up all the information. Job well done team!

COVID

At the moment, we seem to have a few cases, but once again it is 1 or 2 cases at a time but in different classes. Eg Today (Thursday) 2 new cases one in 1/2 and one in 3/4 . We do not seem to have a whole class out within a couple of days of the first case like so many other schools have.  At the moment different illnesses are having an impact on our children - we are hearing about fevers, colds, chest infections and gastro. Please take care and look after yourselves, it will be nice when Summer arrives and we can hopefully get rid of these viruses.

BREAKING NEWS

Our bike riders and scooters got a bit of a surprise this morning when they had to put their bikes and scooters into a temporary bike shed!

Steve is pulling down the bike shed today and we are going to get a new bike shed and sport shed within the next few weeks.  That means we will say goodbye to the dreaded 'Shipping Container'!!!

We are very excited about these new buildings and cannot wait for them to be finished!
