Kiss and Drop
We are requesting that parents stay in the car at all times, both in the morning and afternoon. It is best if children get in and out from the curb side and adults remain in the car. This makes it quicker for everyone and keeps parents, staff and students safe. If this is not possible and children can’t do up their own seatbelt, staff are available for assistance or parents may park and pick up from the classroom.
Introducing our Casual Staff
In an approach to maintaining high standards and quality teaching, we have exceptional casual teaching staff who look after our classes in the absence of a regular classroom teacher. These staff continue the learning in the classroom, acting as if the actual teacher was still there carrying out the daily learning. I want to highlight these staff, because in a COVID world and a winter-flu season where sickness if rife, you may hear these names from your children a little more regularly.
These staff are dedicated to Calrossy, much loved by our students and familiar faces. These staff are qualified teachers, know our routines and often they have previously worked at Calrossy. We have been delighted that over the past two years with the assistance of these staff we have been able to ensure that every day we have had one teacher delivering to one class, we have not had to combine classes or make alternative arrangements. This has been no mean feat but one which we are proud of, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality teaching and learning environment. I commend these people to you as excellent teachers, who you can have absolute trust in.

Kookaburra Club Service NSW Voucher Update
Thank you for your patience as we have navigated this system. What was seemly a simple process for our School has resulted in some administrative errors, which in turn has meant that our families have been unable to redeem the vouchers thus far. To this end, conversations with Service NSW have allowed us to back date the vouchers for parents if they had used Kooka early in the year. We are able to backdate vouchers and we have up to the 30th of June 2023 to backdate for 2022. At present the administrative errors are not fixed, however, we will inform you when it is finalised and vouchers can be redeemed.
Dates for your Diary:
