Sustainability

The Sustainability Team has been busy sorting bottle tops in preparation for creating the mural for the Library. This will be completed in Term 4.   We have also joined forces with the SIRC to participate in a study with students from Monash University.  Called Idle Off, the project is investigating the number of cars that are left running while waiting to pick up students at the end of the day. We have spent several afternoons collating data (you may have seen us in the fluoro vests) and are looking forward to sharing the results with our community next term.

As the weather starts to warm up and students wish to drink more water, it would be great to see them bring in reusable water bottles. The Canteen does sell water in single use bottles; however this is not an environmentally friendly option. Let’s work together to reduce plastic waste.
