Celebrating our Gold Stars
Ayla Corbet of 9G, was recently mentioned in the Geelong Advertiser under the heading ‘Geelong’s top young rising female soccer stars to watch who could be Matildas’. The article describes Ayla as a young Ranger showing lots of potential playing for the under – 15 community team. She has represented the Geelong region and at the country championships in Ballarat, and an analyst is quoted in the article saying “The future looks very bright for Ayla”
We look forward to following Ayla’s progress closely. #Goldstandard
Poppy Nivarovich of 10G, also recently kept up the #Goldstandard of our students, by representing Belmont High School at the All-Schools Championships at Bundoora Park. Poppy ran a terrific race, running the 4km race in 14:39, finishing 7th out of 66 competitors, in the Under 17 Girls division. This fantastic result qualifies her to represent Victoria at the Nationals in Canberra, on the 26th of August. We wish Poppy all the best and hope she runs a great race!
Leo McCaughley of 9G, is currently trekking the Kokoda Trail for the Type 1 Foundation. What an amazing effort and I look forward to hearing and sharing his wonderful experience. #Goldstandard
