Athletics Carnival

The Athletics Carnival was a huge hit. The rain stayed away and the students had a great time competing in all of the events.

The prep to grade 2 students enjoyed lots of tabloid sports such as tunnel ball, memory cone, bean bag relays, poison ball and the crowd favourite, parachute games.

They continued to have fun as they raced in a 100m sprint and the Prep students ran a lap of honour with their buddies.

The grade 3-6 students all worked so hard and put in an amazing effort in all of the Athletics events.  Well done to everyone on a fantastic day. The students who didn't receive a ribbon today in either the 100m or discus events will receive them at assembly next week as there was an error with the delivery of the ribbons.

The highlight would have been watching the 100m finals and cheering on all the students as they raced. It was so much fun to watch Mr. Webber race against our two fastest students, Karlie and Harper. Amazing effort by all!

Now, I will work with the students to finalise the participants for District Athletics on the 31st August.

The final scores for the House Athletics were as follows

1st Place- Panners

2nd Place- Digger

3rd Place- Miners

4th Place- Crushers
