The rain held off on Thursday as our school's Athletics Carnival went ahead with great success. The day was a celebration of personal bests, determination, athletic talents and spirited competition. From the track to the field events, each participant gave their all, showcasing not only their physical prowess but also their sportsmanship. The level of enthusiasm and camaraderie was high, making the Athletics Carnival a memorable day for all involved.
A sincere thank you goes out to the dedicated staff and supportive parents whose efforts behind the scenes made this event possible. Your commitment to our school and students is deeply appreciated.
A special mention and a round of applause are reserved for Mrs. Kenny, whose meticulous planning and facilitation of the day ensured that everyone had a blast in a fun and inclusive environment.
We eagerly anticipate District Athletics in a few weeks where I am sure our ACPS Team of talented young people will again represent our school with pride and distinction.
Best wishes to our Grade 5 and 6 students embarking on an exciting journey to Sovereign Hill next week for their Camp. Have a fantastic time exploring, learning, and enjoying every moment. School Camps are still the things we remember as adults so take on every opportunity with a positive mindset and enjoy creating some lifelong memories.
Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.
The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
The survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023. The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.
A Compass message will follow with a link to the survey.
