Spelling
This term, students will begin to explore different diagraphs. Some of these diagraphs include, sh, th and ng. Through this they will investigate the different sounds that can be produced and transferring the language in reading and writing. From week three, students will begin practising their personalised spelling lists derived from their own writing as well as Magic words within Home Learning. Students will be expected to practise spelling their personalised spelling words daily. The process we will use is the LSNCWC (Look, Say, Name, Cover, Write, Check). Each Friday, the students will participate in a spelling test of the words they have been reviewing.

- Ensure your child practises LSNCWC at home and returns their Home Learning Book every Friday. A video will be shared to parents once we have established the process in class.
- Practise your personalised spelling words in different way for example writing them in rainbow writing, with playdough, stones or sand.
- Revise letters and the different sound combinations through magnets, making words and in books.
