Hello everyone,
Tag On program.
I got a bit excited about the 'Tag on' program and said we will be starting this term, actually, we will be starting in term 4. We have some information gathering to do first to help us know how our students are getting to school and what might encourage our families to choose active travel to get to and from school. Please take a few minutes to complete this quick survey-
Our students will also be completing a short survey and our student leaders will be working with the Bicycle Network team to develop a map showing ActivePaths to school so more of us know safe ways to travel to and from school.
Working Bee Saturday 5th August, 1:30-3:30pm.
Thank you Sara Hill, our gardening coordinator, for organising the working bee. We hope lots of you will be able to spend an hour or two at school helping to tidy up some garden areas in our school. Our gardens always look wonderful and are well cared for by Sara, our students and a team of regular volunteers. If you aren't able to come up to school during the week to help, coming along to the working bee is a way you can help our school.
Bring along your work gloves, weeding tools, shovels and anything else you think might be helpful. Team work makes the dream work!
Parent Opinion Survey coming soon!
Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. All families are invited to participate in the survey.
The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
