5/6F- Learning

Mr Anania

During the first half of Term 3, students in 5/6 FA have been learning about Public Speaking. To assist students we had an expert named Ron Thomas work with 5/6 FA  students to plan and deliver dynamic and engaging speeches. Mr Thomas highlighted to students the skills of being a good public speaker such as planning well, using palm cards, using prompts, engaging the audience and using the correct volume and pace when speaking.

These skills will help us in the future when we have to speak in front of a large group. 5/6 FA students were then asked to plan and present two speeches about something they are passionate about and a topic of their own choice.

Below are some comments from  5/6 FA students about their learning in the area of Public Speaking.

I enjoyed learning about the skills of Public Speaking. Charlotte

Public Speaking can be very challenging but fun when you finish it. Charlie
