Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

lunch and snack breaks. Our two newest clubs have come from th initiative of students Dear Families and Friends,

Our week this week kicked off with a special visit from Morris Gleitzman, a well now and entertaining children's author. Mrs Marinelli will cover in more detail his visit in our Student Learning Page, however, I wanted to mention the importance of these experiences for our children. I am sure many of you can think back to an occasion you can recall from your own school days which may have had quite a significant impact on you. One of the first things Morris said when he met our children was that he could sense other writers in the room. I observed many children slowly nodding their heads and I was touched by the fact that they obviously saw themselves as writers and were immediatly engaged with the presenter. Sometimes it can be a little spark like this which occurs that may well lead to a child pursuing a particular career or hobby later in life. I encourage all parents to ask their children to recall these special occassions when they may have an incursion or excursion as part of their learning which gives them valuable experiences outside the normal classroom routines.

Parent Talking Circle: Uniforms

Thank you to the many parents who were able to join us for our Monday morning Talking Circle on the topic of our 'School Uniform' and the policies and guidelines we currently have in place. It was great to hear the variety of opinions, suggestions and ideas which will help us to formulate a policy which reflects a shared view of what is important to most parents. Whilst, of course, we have to acknowledge that it is difficult to accommodate all views it is nevertheless important for us to understand what parents value in terms of our expectations regarding uniform as well as the actual items we include in our uniform. As we have communictaed in the past, we have been aiming to transition to the new school uniform by the end of this year, however, we are still considering how this may look, especially for our Year 6 students, in terms of this timeline. We will endeavour to summarize the feedback from our meeting on Monday and share this with the all families.

Prayer for families: Loving each other

Gracious God, help us to love each other.

Grow our love so deep that it is able and willing to overcome and forgive.

Inspire a spirit of hospitality in each of us and enable us to cheerfully share our home.

We acknowledge that you have given each of us spiritual gifts.

Help us to put our own needs aside and use our  gifts to serve one another well. We will rely on the strength and energy You supply.

We pray that everything we do within our family unit will bring You glory through the One who lives in us.

Trinity Clubs

As you are all aware, we have a great clubs program here at Trinty. Many teachers, LSOs and now even students give their time to run these clubs during lunch and snack times.

Our most recent club to be formed was the initiative of Charlie in Year 3 who has a great interest in ships and in particular the Titanic. His Ship Club is now part of our Friendship club which Mrs Antonella runs each week.

Well Done Charlie.
