Boarding Forum and Boarding Muster

The annual Boarding Forum will be held on the last day of Term Three, Friday 22 September in Michaelmas House starting at 10.00am.  This will be followed by a tour of Boarding spaces and the inaugural Boarding Muster.

The Boarding Muster is a social boarding parent event where families can connect over a meal before collecting their children at the end of the term.

We hope to see you all there.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Mr Taylor Colton and Ms Carter Wight on their recent engagement over the school holiday break.  Thanks to Mrs Peta Spinks for organising a cake for the Senior boys to celebrate this special time with them.

Next Thursday 10 August is Mokare Day!

The theme for the day is Anything but your Pencil Case or School Bag.

There will be a gold coin donation to support the Waalitj Foundation and $2 lolly bags for sale at lunch.

There will also be a netball competition between Mokare staff and students in the Gym at lunch time.

Kingfisher Fair

The Kingfisher Fair is not too far away, (Week Eight of Term Three) and we need your help. Boarding will be running a chocolate wheel with prizes on offer. We are looking for boarding families to donate prizes for the chocolate wheel. Please send these back to school with your child any time from now until the end of the Closed Weekend in Term Three. Here are some ideas to help you choose something for the prize baskets:

  • gardening and hardware
  • giftware
  • arts
  • sporting
  • gourmet/pampering

Additionally, the students of Breaksea and Endeavour are going to make Rocky Road and sell these in decorated jars. We are looking for donations of large, empty Moccona jars, preferably 400gm jars. We would also love donations of the special edition pre-decorated Moccona jars, (see below).  Please send in any jars that you have collected to Breaksea House.
