Attendance & Assemblies

From Adrienne, Acting Assistant Principal

Attendance Categories

At NMPS, we think that a great education starts with students showing up to school every day on time.

When students miss school often, they miss out on learning the important skills they need to succeed in later years, even if they're just a few minutes late. There's no safe number of days or minutes to miss school – each day a student is absent puts them behind and can affect how they feel about learning. Missing school leads to lower achievement in math, writing, and reading.

If your child must miss school, please ensure you communicate this with the school using the Compass platform.
