Tess, Gardening Specia

From Yolanda and the Sustainability Team

Gardening at NMPS

This week we would love to celebrate our wonderful Gardening Program at NMPS. The Prep cohort all had their very first Gardening lesson this week with the inspirational Tess who opened our eyes and noses to the fascinating world of herbs!

We examined Oregano, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme to name a few. We also identified some small Strawberry and Raspberry plants too. Tess discussed caring for our plants by not pulling them out and also showed us the secret compost compartment in each garden bed.

Stay tuned for some delicious meals from our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program where classes will use the produce from these garden beds to cook some healthy meals.

We are keen to share your fabulous ideas for caring for our planet so please kept sending them to yolanda.andrews@education.vic.gov.au. Until then, take care and take care of our planet.
