Principal's Report

Dear Community Members,

I would like to start my last Newsletter of 2021 by thanking everybody for your kindness and support over the past seven months. I love our school and being part of our dedicated, passionate and caring staff has been such a blessing. I enjoy driving to school in the mornings and meeting up with our students is the highlight of my day. I am looking forward to our whole school BBQ and Christmas Celebration this afternoon. We have a wonderful school culture and I would like for all of our community to embrace who we are as a community.

I had the opportunity to attend both Year 12 and Year 6 Graduation Ceremonies. For all who attended these events, you would agree that these Graduation events are such a positive milestone for our students. Thank you to all of our staff and family members who made the Year 12 Graduation such a memorable event. I was overwhelmed by the excellent speeches the students made. I am sure there were a few tears from our staff and students in listening to our students talking about their journey.

This is the first year we trialled a Grade 6 Graduation and we had an overwhelmingly big community turnout and positive feedback. Our local MP, Barry O’Rourke also attended our Grade 6 Graduation Ceremony yesterday and he commented on the excellent student speeches and our big community turnout. We hope to continue with this event into the future.

You would have received your child's report today.  Please take time to read about all the excellent learning that has happened this year. We are in the processes of reviewing the format and comments of Reports and Individual Curriculum Plans for next year. Our aim is to keep families informed of their child's learning on a weekly basis through Seesaw.

I have sent out our processes for the request of NDIS providers to access our school, to our school community as well as the NDIS providers this morning. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the school.

Have a lovely Christmas holiday with your family and friends.

With your support, I am looking forward to building a wonderful school community next year.

Kind regards,

Dehlia
