Welcome to our new staff

Say a big hello to Nicole, one of our new Education Support staff who is working predominantly in Year 5 this term!

What was your previous life before working in education?

Event Manager at STREAT, a hospitality based social enterprise in Collingwood. We trained disadvantaged youth in the industry and provided wrap around support.

Do you have a nickname?

Nic.

Where have you worked before?

I've come from South Melbourne Park Primary School, where I worked as in Education Support!

I will also continue to work part-time at Kensington Neighbourhood House, where I run a Learning Support Program for school students (Prep to Year 12) from refugee, migrant, and culturally diverse backgrounds. The program assists in developing young people’s confidence and helping them socially and academically to participate in school in a more meaningful way. In particular, the program focuses on literacy, numeracy, homework support and study skills.

Tell us all about your pets.

Beyonce is my super cute cat. She loves cuddles, sitting on roofs and chasing bugs.

What is the best holiday you have ever taken and why?

Tough call, but it would have to be when I backpacked around either Europe or Japan.

It was amazing being immersed in other cultures and meeting interesting people along the way.

Grenada (Spain) and Miyajima (Japan) are the top two cities!

A big welcome to Sharon, one of our new Education Support staff who is working predominantly in Year 1 and 2 this term!
