Prep

Wow, what an amazing start to school these Prep students have had, I am so impressed with how easily they have all transitioned into school life. 

They are settling into the classroom routine and all get along beautifully.

We have enjoyed lots of songs, games and activities as well as a special picnic with our Grade 5 Buddies so far. 

The Wednesday assessments are coming along nicely, most children know their letters and sounds and have some maths skills and many children are able to write their name and can read some words already - which is fabulous!

This term is all about settling into Weeden Heights PS and knowing how to be a student at primary school.  Thank you so much to the Prep parents for all of your support and encouragement of your children, it has definitely made a big difference to the start of their learning journey when children have confidence to approach challenges, are showing independence and are wanting to engage in learning new things.
