Happy Holidays from PFCAC

It has been a rewarding year for ISQua’s Person and Family-Centred Advisory Council (PFCAC), a space for patient & family advisors (PFAs), patients, families, and care partners to make connections, get together and find resources curated by their peers.
This committee was established in 2020 and is an expansion of the role of our Honorary Advisors on Person-Centred Care to the ISQua Board of Directors. Anna Edwards and Isabela Castro are Co-Chairs of this Advisory Council.
Through PFCAC we envision a profound change in the way health care is provided to persons and their families. In every encounter, the health care system and healthcare professionals should seek to enrich patients and family’s experiences, enhance public trust in healthcare services and in healthcare professionals. The health care delivery system should identify and promote person and family involvement, choice, and independence.
In partnership with patients, families, and health care professionals, PFCAC seeks to integrate person and family voice into all aspects of health care.
In 2022, we are planning to add more to our existing work, and we are so thrilled to be an active voice and to have a seat in every activity at ISQua, which is fully committed to Patient Centredness.
However, in order to amplify our work and to continue to grow and stay connected, we need your help. Please reach out to your patient networks and ask them to connect with ISQua. Please contact Catriona Kelly at ckelly@isqua.org for more details about our patient, and person-centred care activities.
The PFCAC would like to wish you and your families a Happy Holidays and look forward to continuing to connect with you in 2022!
Thank you for all you do!
