Year 6 Leadership Day

Written by Holly & Mia

Leadership day was a huge success as all the Year 6's had a lot of fun working with their Leadership teams and learning more about how to become excellent leaders.

We discussed how to improve our school grounds and our educational processes and listed our ideas. We took turns to look at other teams’ ideas and exchanged our knowledge with each other.

We did an exciting team building activity involving wool. With this wool we created a spider web using teamwork and creativity. We made sure to include everyone in the process and had an amazing time putting it together. After making the spider web, each group switched places and started trying to untangle the web. Two people per group had to be blindfolded as the others guided them through. Some teams actually managed to untangle it. We listened to everyone's ideas with an open mind and worked it out as a team.

Mrs Streitberger also made an incredible speech about leadership and taught us the secrets to become a good and responsible leader. We were so captivated by her thrilling and somewhat funny stories throughout her journey of teaching. A lot of us were inspired by it and learnt a lot more about leadership.

Leadership Day was a super informative day to all of us and we hope that the year fives will have a great time next year during their Year 6 Leadership Day.
