Four Year old News.
It has been a great first term with all of our four year old classes, coming together to create a sense of connection and well-being that have created friendships and trusting relationships with staff and the wider school environment.
A huge part of the start of this year has been accessing our outdoor space. Whilst not 100% finalised, the space that the children have engaged with has been an incredible addition to the children's learning and development.
A memorable moment for this term has been...
Resting on the deck on a cool, overcast day. Listening to the birds, the train in the distance and the sound of the wind as it moved through the trees close and far away.
This was an incredible moment of connection, peace and stillness, and one that we had hoped would be achieved through the design of the build.
Seeing the pure delight on our children's faces when we played with our large, colourful parachute! The children had to listen carefully to instructions and co-operate with one another to make the parachute move. There was a sense of joy in being amongst friends and working as a team.
Curiosity, awe and wonder! The trickle stream has been a huge highlight, providing a calm and tranquil space that has afforded the children to navigate and risk take, negotiate, spark imaginations and connections.
The big big car has enabled some wonderful adventures – creating joy, laughter and connections. The home corner, sensory play and building has extended our language, motor skills and memory making - all whilst contributing to our social development and love of kinder.
