A Look at Learning

From the LOP

Campfires….. Watering Holes ………Caves

These words are used daily in all of our classrooms. Students move to these specific spaces to conduct conversations, independent application, reflections and listen to explicit information.

In all of our classrooms these spaces may look different but all serve the same purpose!

CAMPFIRE: The campfire space is where we all come together to listen to an expert and gather information ready for collaboration.

WATERING HOLES: Like the name suggests we come together in small groups and share ideas and work alongside each other with the information obtained from the expert in the campfire.

CAVES: Here students, individually, reflect and apply the skills and knowledge gained from both the campfire and the watering hole.
