FROM THE PRINCIPAL

TERM 3 - WEEK 10

Thank you to all parents, staff and students for making Term 3 another productive term. It has been a very busy term but one in which we as a community achieved a great deal. Have a safe and rewarding break and I look forward to seeing all the children safely back at school on Monday 15th October. Over the holidays encourage your child to read a book, do some puzzles, practise their multiplication tables, learn a poem, read another book and have fun with friends and family.

Please keep Kendall  Pearce and her family in your prayers. It was with much sadness that Spencer, her new born son passed away early last week. Please respect their privacy during this extremely sad time.

No more sleeps! Tonight is the night. Catholic Schools Celebrate is going to be a great night. The students and teachers have worked especially hard to ensure you will be wonderfully entertained. Congratulations to Lisa McSweeney and the Catholic Schools Celebrate Committee for all their hard work organising such an extravaganza.

Last weekend was a very special one for our Year 6 Confirmation candidates and I congratulate them on the manner in which they presented themselves and behaved. I would like to acknowledge the support of many parishioners in helping with our Retreat last Friday as well as Father Chris, Bishop Kennedy, the teachers and St Nicholas parishioners. The Confirmation Masses were very special occasions. Bishop Kennedy also spent time at the school on Friday with our Year 6 students.

A really big thank you to all the teachers and parents who have helped over the winter months with sporting teams! Without your commitment to coaching, managing, practice, washing uniforms, supporting and all the other jobs: our students would not be able to participate in the whole range of sports available to them.

Tomorrow is a pupil free day. The staff will be spending the day with Daniela Falecki. Daniela lectures at Western Sydney University in Educational Psychology, Pedagogy and Wellbeing.
