Parents & Friends News

Dear all,

The last few weeks have been busy behind the scenes. We have helped our lovely teachers, Cathy and Anthony organize a welcome evening for our next year Prep parents. I’d like to say thank you to Amy and Louisa for their help.

Myself and Louisa have also organized a uniform shop for the Prep parents and will have another one next week on Tuesday at 9am for those of you who’d like to pop in as well.

We have also been working on our upcoming Election Day Sausage sizzle. It’s going to take place on Saturday the 26th of November and will be held outside of the Parish Hall to serve food and drinks to the voters. We will have a cake stall as well as BBQ with sausages and egg and bacon muffins. We also have a coffee van serving delicious fresh brewed coffee.

I’d like to ask as many of you as possible to come help on the day. You can stay as long or as short as you can, any help is appreciated. We will need help setting up (from 7am), serving (from 8am to 3pm), and clean up (from 2pm until finished). Come for few hours or for 30min if you can.

We also need help with baking the goodies for the cake stall, think cakes (whole slabs or easy to cut ones that we can sell per piece), cupcakes, savory things… anything that you like to bake/make. We will need the list of ingredients with all goods donated.  It’s a great opportunity to raise much needed funds to help build our community gardens around school.

I’d also like to thank the parents that organized last night’s Soccer Game. The turnout was great, no injuries occurred and it was a fun evening for spectators as well. An event to repeat next year for sure! Thanks again Claudette, Colm, Ivo, Daniela, Cathy and Anthony for organizing the event.
