Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,

It is lovely to see the sun shining today. It is getting to the time of the year where there are lots of extra curricula activities taking place. We have updated our calendar in this edition of the newsletter so families know what is coming up.

Swimming

Mr Hodgson and Miss Kelly have been busy preparing the swimming program for students.

Students will begin swimming in week 10. Originally, we were looking at starting in week 9, but due to the cooler weather and the pool temperature we will now conduct the lessons in week 10 and 11.

More information will come home to families next week with the days and times listed.

Camps

Thank you to all of our families who responded to the 3/4 and 5/6 camp surveys. Our camps have now all been re-scheduled for December. We appreciate the feedback from all parents.

Step Up Days

This year we will be trialling a whole school transition program. The students will be involved in a trial of classes for 2023. These classes will not be their actual classes for next year. Students will meet the 2023 classroom teachers on Thursday 15th December.

Road Safety

Staff have noticed many unsafe acts outside of the school recently. We ask all families to please ensure they are parking correctly and using the school crossings when crossing the road. We have had a few near misses of late with students crossing the road. We want to ensure all our community is safe.

Remembrance Day

Last Friday our School Leaders represented the school at the Swan Hill Remembrance Day service.

They laid a wreath on behalf of the school. Congratulations to Remi Pickering who was awarded the RSL Award for dedication to her schooling.

Have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,

Brea
