Mathamatics Project
Throughout 2022 Jenni Kilkenny and Jenny Willmott have been involved in professional development around the transformation of engagement in mathematics in the early years. This has been run through MACS and the Monash Mathematics Department.
Each session involved professional learning on different parts of mathematics and after each session an action research cycle was completed to bring to life this learning to the classrooms. Looking at our maths data throughout the school this professional learning has already made an impact.
Holy Saviour school received funding in order to make this possible. The last session involved a presentation by each school. Our school was congratulated with the way our teachers embrace and use new high impact teaching and learning to extend and support our students in mathematics.
