Time Capsule Project

After much preparation and pre-production planning, filming for our COVID-19 Time Capsule documentary is well underway. This project is generously funded by The Lions Club of Sandringham (supported by HeadSpace), and organised by Josh Slocum’s Media Club, with support from Travis de Valle and our Wellbeing Team’s Dilek Yucel. Our Media Club students, Owen Bradley, Mitch Nielsen, Jamie Van Der Merwe and Bjorn Steguweit, were highly organised and professional in their management and operation of equipment and their conducting of some insightful interviews with fellow students, Spencer Marshall, Isla Brown and Olympia Konstantaras.

This week, the next phase of the Time Capsule project will continue with all students and staff being encouraged to bring in objects that represent resilience in lockdown for them. Photos will be taken of these objects at lunchtime in BW1 on Thursday 5 August and objects could include anything that represents lockdown for each individual. Ideas include:

  • Lockdown comfort foods
  • Things that students created, like puzzles and spoonville creations
  • Things that entertained us like movies, music and games/controllers
  • Things we used in lockdown, like devices, stationery etc.
  • Anything else that relates to student experiences in lockdown

Please see the attached poster below for key information and direct any questions to Mr de Valle.
